FAQs
Who will be doing the photography?
I do all the photography myself. This ensures consistency in the quality of
the images and allows me to get to know you so I can be sure the images reflect
who you are and what you want.
What style of photography do you use?
I feel the style of the photograph should reflect the style of the subject.
I adjust my style to meet your needs. I use natural light and background as
much as possible so the photographs have a warm and lasting quality. I have
a photojournalist approach to weddings - telling a story with my images -
and I also shoot traditional wedding portraits.
Do you shoot color and black and white?
I shoot whatever the client wants. For weddings I recommend shooting color
and black white film. I also shoot sepia film which gives an old fashioned
brownish gold tone look to the photographs.
What kind of camera equipment do you use?
I use a combination of 35mm cameras - Pentax and Canon - as well as medium
format - Mamyia - to shoot weddings, portraits and special events. For commercial
shoots I use either medium or large format (4x5) cameras.
Do you charge extra for travel?
Only if it costs me extra. If I travel outside of Truro I charge 50 cents
per kilometre.
Do we get to keep the negatives?
Yes, they are yours to keep.
Will you be asking us to pose all the time during our
wedding?
Posed photographs will be done before or immediately after the wedding ceremony.
Theyll be done in a relaxed atmosphere so you can enjoy your special
day. The majority of the photographs will be candids. You will be recorded
carefully and unobtrusively, providing cherished memories for years to come.
