Who will be doing the photography?
I do all the photography myself. This ensures consistency in the quality of the images and allows me to get to know you so I can be sure the images reflect who you are and what you want.
What style of photography do you use?
I feel the style of the photograph should reflect the style of the subject. I adjust my style to meet your needs. I use natural light and background as much as possible so the photographs have a warm and lasting quality. I have a photojournalist approach to weddings - telling a story with my images - and I also shoot traditional wedding portraits.
Do you shoot color and black and white?
I shoot whatever the client wants. For weddings I normally shoot in color. If necessary I can later convert images to black and white or sepia. Sepia tone is a reddish brown monochrome tint that gives a photograph a warm, antique feeling.
What kind of camera equipment do you use?
I use a combination of professional DSLR (digital) and 35mm cameras to photograph weddings, portraits and special events. For commercial shoots I use digital or medium format film cameras.
Do you charge extra for travel?
Yes, if the photographs are to be taken outside of the Truro area.
Will you be asking us to pose all the time during our wedding?
The majority of posed photographs will be taken before or after the wedding ceremony at a pre-determined location. They will be taken in a relaxed atmosphere so you can enjoy your special day. The majority of the photographs will be candids in a photojournalist style telling the story of your special day as it unfolds. You will be recorded carefully and unobtrusively, providing cherished memories for years to come.
What is the normal turnaround time for wedding photographs/packages?
Usually, it is 7 to 14 days.
